Adelaide is a chef-driven restaurant in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, rooted in craft, seasonality, and hospitality. Our dining room includes a full bar, with house cocktails and a continually evolving wine selection developed alongside the food.
Our cooking draws from classical European technique with an American sensibility, guided by the ingredients available to us and by a belief that a restaurant should never remain entirely still. Our menu is intentionally focused and changes frequently - sometimes because a new ingredient has arrived at its peak, sometimes because an idea has developed in the kitchen, and sometimes simply because we believe it is time for something new.
Almost everything we serve is made in-house, from breads and pastas to infusions, ferments, sauces, and desserts. We work with ingredients we believe in, applying technique where it improves them and restraint where it does not. The same philosophy extends to our beverage program, with a continually evolving selection of wines and cocktails developed alongside the food.
Our menu is designed to be shared and to unfold over the course of a meal. We encourage guests to begin with a few smaller dishes for the table, continue with pasta as a mid-course, and move into larger plates together. Rather than thinking of each dish as a separate course for one person, we think about how dishes interact, how one leads into the next, and how the table experiences the meal as a whole.
From the kitchen to the dining room, our goal is simple: food and drink made with intention, and hospitality that feels thoughtful, natural, and increasingly better each time you visit.
